In section "Special topic" TATuP publishes original research articles after double non-blind peer review. Authors answer to a Call for Abstracts for the Special topic and are selected by external Special topic guest editors who hold an expertise in the specific field of the issue's Special topic. Authors clearly formulate a research question related to the journal's TA profile, demonstrate its relevance in the context of current (international) scientific literature, lay open the methods for answering the research question and present original empirical data, original theoretical considerations and/or original conceptual ideas by means of a clearly structured argumentation. All incoming research articles will be checked with the plagiarism software iThenticate, please do not submit undeclared  second publications.

TATuP invites in particular problem oriented research articles that also provide scientific policy advice. Research articles in this rubric count max. 28.000 characters including blanks (+/- 10%, counted over the entire document) and make use of the appropriate word template.You will find details on the editorial process for journal section "Special topic" here.

In section "Interview" TATuP publishes interviews with persons of interest for the theoretical or practical aspects of technology assessment. Before conducting an interview to be published in TATuP interviewers are asked to communicate with the editorial office. Interviews must address thematic issues that fit the journal's profile. Interviews are submitted to peer review by either scientific editors, members of the editorial board, or members of the editorial advisory board.  You will find details on the editorial process for journal section "Interview" here.

In section "Reflections" TATuP publishes book reviews and meeting reports relevant to the field of technology assessment, replies or comments to articles published in the journal's previous issues, letters to the editors, or any other appropriate content. Submissions can be made at any time. Book reviews and meeting reports are usually written upon invi­tation or after previous agreement with the editorial office. For book reviews and meeting reports authors are asked to selectively highlight issues relevant to the journal's profile. Manuscripts in this section are written in the appropriate word template, they count max. 10.000 characters including blanks, and will be submitted to review by either scientific editors, members of the editorial board, or members of the editorial advisory board. In the section "TA Focus" TATuP publishes short news items with relevance for members of the Network Technology Assessment and the wider community of technology assessment. Please send suggestions for news items to the TA-Focus editor at any time.

In the section"From the Network TA" (suspended, was published from vol. 26, no. 1-2 to vol. 30, no. 3) exclusively institutional members of the Network Technology Assessment published information on current research projects, publications, job offers etc. Articles in this section were reviewed by at least one academic editor.
