New TATuP issue: "Practices and concepts of care in sustainability transformations. Critical perspectives in technology assessment"

This TATuP Special Topic presents new research and experiences with care concepts, approaches, and practices in the context of sustainability transformations and thus provides new impetus to technology assessment (TA). A key hypothesis is that any kind of technological innovation, assessment, associated economic activity, and political governance that is external to the concept of care will ultimately prove incapable of creating sustainable economies and societies. Transformations can only succeed if social inequalities are addressed and overcome. Critical approaches to sustainability, such as the concept of "care," make it possible to consider these social dynamics.
