TATuP, based at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS), is currently in its 30th year of publication. Launched in 1992 as TA-Datenbank-Nachrichten, TATuP has evolved over the years into a peer-reviewed open access journal that today addresses an increasingly international audience.
Open Access Policy
TATuP is an open access journal. No author processing charges (APC) apply for peer review, editorial processing or publication of a manuscript. The journal website provides free online access to the entire current issue and complete archive of the journal.
Copyright notice: Submission of an original manuscript to TATuP will be taken to mean that the article is original, has not been published in any other peer-reviewed journal, is not under consideration for publication by any other journal and does not infringe any existing copyright or any other third party rights.
Authors retain the copyright.

Preprint/Postprint and Self-archiving Policies
Authors are encouraged to share their research (preprint and postprint) as well as to submit their published articles to institutional repositories. Preprints are all versions of an article that were written before peer review. Postprints are all versions after going through the peer review process. Depending on the article version, the following article-sharing and self-archiving policies apply:
Prerprints and Submitted Version: Authors can share their submitted version anywhere at any time. If accepted for publication, the published scource must be ackknowledged and the submitted version must be linked to the formal publication via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Submitted versions should not be added to or enhanced in any way in order to appear more like, or to substitute for, the final versions of articles.
Postprints - Accepted Version: Authors can share their accepted version at any repository and the author’s homepage at any time. After publication, the published scource must be ackknowledged and the accepted version must be linked to the formal publication via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Accepted versions should not be added to or enhanced in any way in order to appear more like, or to substitute for, the final versions of articles.
Postprints - Published Version: Authors are encouraged to submit their published articles to institutional repositories. The published source must be acknowledged with citation and must link to the published article with DOI.
